Filing your taxes is looking backward. Planning them is looking forward.

Most tax offices see you once a year, file what already happened, and send you on your way. We do that too, accurately and on time.

But the money is in the other eleven months. Mr. Taxes Pro works with individuals, self-employed filers, and small business owners year-round to legally lower what you owe before the year closes, not after.

How we work

Three ways to work with us

Two of them are seasonal. One of them runs all year. That's the one that changes your outcome.

January – April

Tax Preparation

Accurate, on-time filing for individuals, couples, and business owners. We handle the return and make sure nothing gets missed.

  • Individual and joint returns (Form 1040)
  • Self-employed & Schedule C
  • Small business & corporate returns
  • Prior-year and amended returns, in person or virtual
  • ITIN applications
  • File in person or fully virtual
May – December

Tax Planning

The work that happens before the year closes. Once December 31 passes, most of your options are gone. Planning is how you keep them open.

  • Entity structure: LLC vs. S-corp timing
  • Quarterly estimated payment strategy
  • Retirement plan setup (SEP-IRA, Solo 401(k))
  • Home office & vehicle deduction planning
  • Year-end moves before the window closes
  • Ongoing check-ins, not a once-a-year visit
Year-Round

Accounting & Bookkeeping

Clean books are what make planning possible. We keep the records straight through the year so nothing has to be reconstructed in April.

  • Monthly & quarterly bookkeeping
  • Catch-up and cleanup of prior periods
  • Profit and loss reporting you can read
  • Payroll coordination
  • Entity formation & EIN registration
  • Bank and expense reconciliation

"By the time most people sit down with a tax preparer, the year is already over. My job is to have that conversation while you can still do something about it."

What people say about us

Real reviews, published on our Google Business Profile.

★★★★★

Leading up to my appointment, I was very apprehensive and stressed. I'm fairly new to the gig worker/delivery world. I was very intimidated and confused by the whole business expense deductions issue. Djenald was very accommodating and welcoming and immediately put me at ease. I had done my 2024 return myself with TaxAct and had to pay $450. I got the referral to Mr TaxesPro through the IRS website, so they were immediately reputable.

Djenald just did my 2025 return where my gig work income was approx 3x the amount of the previous year and it ended up that instead of having to pay this year, I'll actually be getting a refund. I loved that he didn't just do it, he explained everything that he was doing. He was even suggesting apps that I could utilize to help keep track of my business expenses going forward. I intend to utilize him every year from now on.

Mr. Tax Pro has been nothing but professional, knowledgeable, and reliable every time I've dealt with him. He's not only a great tax professional, but also a genuinely good guy. He takes the time to explain things, makes sure you understand the process, and treats people with respect.

If you're looking for someone you can trust with your taxes and someone who truly cares about his clients, I highly recommend Mr. Tax Pro. 5 stars all the way!

I'm telling everybody this is the best place to have your taxes done. I had Alabama taxes that were overdue 2–3 years ago and still got my refunds and everything was straight on the money.

Thank you so much for what you do for the people. I have been spreading your name around. Thank you again.

Common Questions

Before you call

The things people ask us most, answered straight.

Do I have to come to the office?

No. We work with clients entirely online. You send documents from your phone or laptop and we walk through the return by phone or video. Plenty of people still prefer sitting across the desk in Oakland Park, and that's available too.

What does it cost?

It depends on the work. A single W-2 return and a self-employed return with a home office, a vehicle, and equipment purchases are very different jobs, and pretending otherwise means someone is being overcharged.

The first conversation is free. We look at your situation, tell you what's involved, and quote it before anything starts.

I haven't filed in a few years. Can you help?

Yes, and you're not the first. Prior-year returns are routine work here. The longer they sit the more they cost, so the useful thing is to start. We'll tell you exactly what we need and handle the sequence.

What's the difference between tax planning and tax preparation?

Preparation is reporting what already happened. By the time you sit down in February, the year is closed and most of your options are gone.

Planning happens while you can still act: choosing an entity structure, setting up a retirement plan, timing a purchase. It's the difference between recording the score and playing the game.

What documents should I bring?

Photo ID, Social Security or ITIN documentation for everyone on the return, all income forms (W-2, 1099), and last year's return if you have it. If you're self-employed, bring whatever expense records you keep, however messy.

We'll send a specific list once we know your situation. Don't wait until you have everything to reach out.

I got a letter from the IRS. What now?

Most notices are routine and fixable, and the worst thing you can do is ignore it. Call us with the notice in hand. The letter number in the corner tells us what it is and what the deadline is.

Can I get part of my refund early?

Refund advances are available to qualified filers during the season, up to $7,000 the same day you file. The amount is not guaranteed and is subject to approval by the issuing bank, underwriting criteria, and the size of your expected refund. Not all applicants qualify, and terms and fees apply, so ask us for full details before you file.
